The European Union's top diplomat Federica Mogherini on Tuesday congratulated Muhammadu Buhari for winning Nigeria's presidential election, saying she looks forward to working with the president-elect.
"I thank outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan for his great contribution to building the country and to consolidating its democracy over the past five years, and look forward to working with the newly elected President and his government in the future," Mogherini said in a statement.
