French police killer was part of Syria jihad probe: sources

The man who killed a policeman and his partner at their home near Paris overnight was part of a recent investigation into a Syria jihadist network, police sources said Tuesday.
The 25-year-old man, who was shot dead by security forces after repeatedly stabbing the policeman and then killing his partner, who was found with knife wounds to her neck, claimed allegiance to the Islamic State group.
