Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian child aged 12 near Jerusalem on Tuesday, the Palestinian health ministry said in a statement.
"Mohiyeh al-Tabakhi, 12, was killed by shots fired by occupation soldiers in the Al-Ram area near Jerusalem," it said.
Israeli police told AFP that tear gas grenades and sound bombs had been used against demonstrators in the area, but denied that live rounds were fired.
