Pope Francis arrives in Ecuador for 3-nation tour

Pope Francis landed in Ecuador on Sunday to kick off his first South American trip in two years that will also take him to Bolivia and Paraguay.
The 78-year-old pontiff, who hails from Argentina, landed in an Alitalia passenger plane, in a sign of the austere simplicity he has sought to bring to his office. During his trip, the pope plans on highlighting the plight of the poor on his home continent.
