Pope Francis opens St Peter's Holy Door to launch Catholic Jubilee

Pope Francis on Tuesday opened a "Holy Door" in the walls of St Peter's basilica, launching an extraordinary Catholic Jubilee year dedicated to the theme of mercy.
"This is the door of the Lord. Open to me the gates of justice," the pontiff said before pushing the giant doors open and, after a brief prayer, walking through them.
Francis was followed through the door by his predecessor, the now-retired and extremely frail Benedict XVI.
