Nearly 9,000 migrants entered Croatia Tuesday, a day's record number since they started to arrive in EU member a week ago on their journey to western Europe, a ministry said Wednesday.
A total of 8,750 migrants entered Croatia on Tuesday, an interior ministry statement said. By 0700 GMT more than 44,000 refugees fleeing conflicts and poverty in their countries in Middle East and Africa entered the Balkan country from Serbia, it added.
