Turkish tanks on Thursday opened fire on targets controlled by Daesh (IS) jihadists in Syria after a Turkish soldier was killed by shots from the Syrian side of the border, NTV television said.
The soldier was killed in the Turkish border region of Kilis by fire that came from an Daesh-controlled region in Syria, the television added.
