Three Burundian military observers serving in the UN peace mission in the Central African Republic have been sent back to their country where they are accused of rights violations, a UN official said Friday.
"We received information about these officers after they were deployed that linked them to allegations of human rights violations, so the decision was made to repatriate them," said Ismini Palla of the UN peacekeeping department.
