The US economy grew at an annual rate of 1.0 percent in the fourth quarter, far stronger than expected, government data showed Friday. The Commerce Department revised upward its previous estimate of 0.7 percent growth to the surprise of analysts, who had forecast the pace would be cut to 0.4 percent. |
