The United States expects Iran to be invited to join multi-lateral talks on Syria to be held in Vienna this week, the State Department said Tuesday.
"We do expect Iran to be invited to participate," State Department spokesman John Kirby said, adding that he did not know if the invitation would be extended by the United States or Russia, or whether Iran would accept.
