The US-led coalition against the Islamic State group has opened a "formal investigation" into whether civilians were killed in a coalition air strike in northern Syria last week, a military spokesman said Wednesday. The main Syrian opposition group called on the coalition to suspend the air strikes after local sources said several dozen civilians, including children, were killed near Manbij in northern Syria. |
