US stocks rallied Thursday, recovering from a rout the prior session, following strong earnings from JPMorgan Chase and a rebound in oil prices.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.38 percent, the S&P 500 1.65 percent and the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index 1.97 percent.
