The Dow pushed to its fourth straight closing record Monday, while the Nasdaq retreated following sharp declines in Amazon, Tesla Motors and other high-flyers.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 21,894.03, up 0.3 percent.
The broad-based S&P 500 slipped 0.1 percent to 2,470.57, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index shed 0.4 percent to 6,351.27.
