FT reports Pearson in talks with Axel Springer to sell paper

British publisher Pearson is in advanced discussions with German newspaper group Axel Springer to sell the Financial Times, the FT reported Thursday.
Citing several sources familiar with the situation, the FT reported that Japanese media group Nikkei had also held discussions with Pearson but that discussions with Axel Springer were at a more developed stage.
