Shares in Takata plunged 12 percent in early Tokyo trade Wednesday after the Japanese auto parts maker expanded the recall of US cars using its potentially deadly airbags to nearly 34 million.
The stock fell to 1,325 yen at the open, before recovering slightly to 1,354 yen, down 10.15 percent from Tuesday.
