Education Minister Majed bin Ali Al Nuaimi has praised the achievements accomplished by the Bahrain Athletics Association headed by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa,the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of West Asia Athletics Federation, andChairman of Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA).
HH Shaikh Khalid’s outstanding efforts and clear vision has elevated the international status of Bahrain in athletics, the minister said as he received the association’s deputy president Mohammed bin Jalal and treasurer Khalid Al Dossari who presented a copy of the book “Khalid bin Hamad and Bahrain’s athletics”, highlighting the achievements accomplished under Shaikh Khalid’s leadership between 2012 and 2016.
The minister said that HH Shaikh Khalid has had a prominent role in the achievements and in the impressive development of the sport in Bahrain and in its achievements through his clear vision, generous support and constant motivations.
Al Nuaimi said that HH Shaikh Khalid has been keen on close cooperation between the ministry and the association as students are a major asset for local clubs and the national teams.
