Ronaldinho returns to Barcelona as ambassador
Ronaldinho
Rio De Janeiro - ArabToday
Two-time FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho has accepted an ambassadorial role with his former team Barcelona, the Catalan club announced on Thursday.
The agreement will see the 36-year-old Brazilian represent a Barcelona legends team in a series of friendlies around the world, Barcelona said on their official website.
Ronaldinho will also take part in clinics, training sessions and institutional events, among other activities, according to Barcelona.
The announcement raises fresh doubts about whether Ronaldinho will return to competitive football.
He has been without a club since parting ways with Rio de Janeiro outfit Fluminense in September 2015.
Earlier this week, his brother and agent, Roberto Assis, said the 2002 World Cup winner would decide whether to accept on offer to join Brazilian Serie A club Coritiba by Friday.
Earlier this month, Ronaldinho's former Brazil teammate Rivaldo also agreed to be a Barcelona ambassador.
Ronaldinho represented Barcelona from 2003 and 2008. He was voted FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.

to 'eternal style' of late Alaia
Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
