Studio Job was founded in 2000 by Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel in Antwerp. The duo aim to redefine the decorative arts for the contemporary age which their highly expressive, mainly one-off or limited edition works. Opulent, intricate and ironic, Studio Job reference both the traditional and the topical, the organic and the artificial. Their illustration is at once cartoon-like and yet somehow primitive. Although their work has primarily been geared towards collectors and museums, Studio Job has collaborated successfully with various like minded brands eg. Bulgari, Swarovski, Bisazza and Venini.
