Divers of the Environmental Voluntary Foundation (EVF) lifted 10 tons of iron pipes dumped in the sea waters off Bneid Al-Gar pier, located close to Kuwait Towers.
Walid Al-Shatti, the head of the team, told KUNA on Saturday the divers used air-filled bags to lift the neglected pipes. They were towed onshore with a boat. A crane was also employed to bring up the large objects.
The divers encountered some difficulties due to bad under-water visibility and muddy sea-bed.
