Egyptian committee approves in principle unified Nile bill

A higher legislative reform committee on Tuesday approved in principle a unified draft law on the Nile River, Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi said.
In statements on the sidelines of a meeting of the committee under Transitional Justice Minister Ibrahim el Heneidi, Moghazi said that the bill will be presented again to the committee for final approval.
The law gives the Irrigation Ministry the power to monitor and follow up all the activities on the Nile and grant licenses.
