Egyptian PM receives report on encroachments removed on Nile River

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab got on Sunday a report on encroachments on the Nile River removed so far as part of a national campaign to protect Egypt's main source of potable water.
According to the report, 12,452 encroachments on the Nile River have been removed from December to May.
In January, Mahlab and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi launched a national campaign to "rescue the Nile".
The campaign targets removing about 50,399 encroachments on the Nile River.
