Head of the Pesticides Committee in the Agriculture Ministry Mohamed Abdel Magid said a new mechanism was approved to guarantee a firm supervisory system on the use of pesticides in Egypt.
The officials' remark came during a meeting by the committee on Thursday aiming at keeping an eye on shops selling pesticides and violating factories and training agricultural inspectors.
This is the first meeting in a series of ones by the committee to maintain control over the pesticides market.
