Lebanon mountain roads blocked with snow

The ISF General Directorate issued a statement on Wednesday confirming that a number of mountainous roads have been blocked with the heavy snow that came along with the violent storm "Alexa". However, Kfardebian - Ayoun al-Siman road remains open for cars equipped with metal chains. Ayoun al-Siman - Hadath Baalbek road is fully blocked with snow. Aqoura, Laklouk - Ehmej, Almneitra - Hadath Baalbek, as well as Afka - Lasa roads are blocked with heavy snow. Zahle, Dhour Chouier, Chouf Kefraya, Aynata - Cedars, Hadath Baalbek - Ayoun Siman, and Hermel roads are also cut off because of snow accumulation Deir Ahmar - Aynata - Yamuna - Dar Wasiaa roads are passable for cars equipped with metal chains. Jibbeh - Tannourine, Kobayat - Hermel, Wata Mishmosh, Fneideq - Al-Shakdouf are also cut off because of the accumulation of snow.
