Sewage waters flooded streets in Samastah city in Beni Suef governorate in Upper Egypt on Monday.
The main sewage line was disrupted, causing the crisis. Bad conditions of the lines are blamed on the explosion.
Authorities have deployed vehicles to suck the waters.
