Cyprus electricity authority signs MoU with Israel

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) and Israel\'s state electricity company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, during an official visit to Israel by an EAC delegation. The two sides, as Famagusta Gazette reports, discussed prospects of cooperation between the two organizations. Under the MoU, the two organizations, recognizing the prospects after the discovery of large quantities of hydrocarbons in the Eastern Mediterranean, committed themselves to cooperating in order to better exploit the business opportunities in the energy sector.
