Egyptian oil sector not party in 'Delphinus' agreement with gas producers

The Egyptian petroleum sector is not a party in an agreement signed between an Egyptian private company, Delphinus, and producers working in the Leviathan gas field in the Eastern Mediterranean, a source with Petroleum Ministry said Wednesday.
Foreign and Egyptian companies importing gas should first receive state permission and should always keep in mind the national interests of Egypt, the source said.
The imported gas should always be a value-added to the Egyptian economy, the source noted.
