Mercury is likely to start rising gradually from today (Tuesday) across the emirates as the cold spell weakens by the winds coming from the east and south-east. This rise in temperature will be gradual and daytime conditions could become warmer, said a forecaster. The highest temperate of 30.5C was recorded yesterday (Monday) in Umm Al Zimul, a town in south of Al Ain. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) also predicted gradually increase in temperature, the weather will be fair but become partly cloudy Tuesday over some areas. The forecast said winds would be light to moderate in general that might gain speed in some areas at times. Relative humidity will increase in the coastal and internal areas at night and early in the morning. This could form mist in the extreme western areas this morning. The sea would be slight to moderately rough in general with two to four feet offshore. The conditions were rough in the sea off the coast of the northern sea frontline and on the Sea of Oman Monday. Temperatures are Tuesday likely to be 23 to 24C in the coastal, 6C to27C in the internal, and 3C to 15C in the mountainous areas. Humidity will be in the normal range in coastal and internal areas, but could go up to 95 per cent at times.
