Abu Dhabi - Arabstoday
ID World Abu Dhabi 2012, the fifth annual EMEA summit on the strategic topic of identification, will open its doors in the UAE on March 18 and 19, 2012 and will be held at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, an institution which not only keeps abreast with new developments at the political, economic and social spheres of human endeavor, but also formulates the most suitable responses and strategies for keeping the UAE society ahead in the race of modernity. Wise Media will once again produce a world-class conference under the patronage of UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheik Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, endorsed by the European Commission, the Emirates Identity Authority and Abu Dhabi Police. High-ranking government and senior international organization figures will discuss key areas of world concern such as global migration, the globalization of crime and international interchange of money, alongside end user presidents and CEOs who will address these issues and many more by leading the innovation debate on security, mobility and traceability in the public and private sector. "We are honored to be given the opportunity by our key government supporter, the Emirates Identity Authority, to host our conference at this prestigious venue, which is a key source of information for all ministries, constantly in direct contact with all ministers in the UAE Government," said Sophie B. de la Giroday, President of Wise Media. Over two days, the event is designed to give stakeholders across the entire ICT value chain, a deeper insight into different strategic, technical and operational issues surrounding automatic identification adoption and implementation. The two-day conference and exhibition will give voice to an array of influential industry leaders and luminaries and public figures to discuss the super-highway that is built on automatic identification and its impact on the future of IT and security infrastructures in every sector. Earlier this year, ID World Abu Dhabi 2011 reaffirmed the event's exclusivity as the only EMEA summit where decisions are made at the highest levels, directly affecting the wider world of security, mobility and traceability. It was opened by an address from H.H. Sheik Saif, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Among senior international figures who participated actively in the event were the Honorable Rehman Malik, Minister of Interior Pakistan, Leonard McCarthy, the Vice-president Integrity World Bank and H.E. Ronald K. Noble, Secretary General of Interpol. ID World Abu Dhabi saw attendees convene to contribute to the thought leadership symposium from more than 38 countries. Continuing the global investigation on security, mobility and traceability, ID World Abu Dhabi 2012 will once again gather industry experts and government representatives at the table of innovation to debate on a variety of topics and share their knowledge.
