SQU seminar focus on education-job market linkage in Oman

 A seminar under the theme “Linking Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the Sultanate with Public and Private Sectors”, was organised on Sunday by the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), represented by Office of the SQU Deputy Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research.

Held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, the event was patronized over by Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower in the presence of Dr. Rawya bint Saud Al Busaidiyah, Minister of Higher Education and Dr Ali bin Saud Al Bimani, SQU Vice Chancellor. 

The event aimed at gathering academics, industrialists and labour market representatives to enhance links among the stakeholders in the different sectors and boost cooperation in projects that address the socioeconomic and strategic development needs in the Sultanate.

Then, the chief guest opened the exhibition held on the sidelines of the event.

It included several corners displaying research works carried out by nine university colleges and ten research centers from SQU and some private universities and colleges.
