CBS planning US version of \'Bake Off\'

A U.S. version of the \"The Great British Bake Off\" competition series is set for broadcast next year, CBS announced Thursday. The series will feature skilled amateur Americans competing in baking challenges with one ultimately being crowned the winner, the network said. The third season finale of \"The Great British Bake Off\" aired Wednesday night in the United Kingdom and was one of the highest-rated BBC2 originated shows in the last six years, CBS noted.
