Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director-General, commented, "The idea of organising this camp is derived from TRA’s social responsibility, and its keenness to contribute actively in the upbringing of an aware and enabled of the era’s tools generation, capable to build the future, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership. We have planned the 2017 edition of this camp based on thorough planning for the future needs of human resources and national capabilities in the ICT sector. We are confident that these summer activities will play a major role in the exploration of talents and capabilities, instilling creativity, innovation, and teamwork at an early age, and thus, supporting, guiding and encouraging them to engage in areas that fit their capabilities."
Majid Almadhloum, Director of the Centre of Digital Innovation, CoDI, said, "This year, we will organise 10 camps with two camps per week. Each camp will last for 5 days from Sunday to Thursday. The activities for this year vary between technical, social and sports activities. There are new programmes such as the ‘#Year of Giving’ programme, inviting the children of martyrs’ families and persons of determination, and entrepreneurial projects. We expect the number of participants in this year’s edition to reach 2,500."
