programme aimed at rooting out computer illiteracy will launched next month (October2013) Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi announced the scheme, scheduled to run until January 2014, on the basis of 50 training hours. The programme is part of educational training schemes to disseminate general knowledge and culture and reduce the rate of illiteracy. \"The scheme stems from Bahrain\'s firm commitment to promote education for all\", Dr. Al-Nuaimi said, stressing Bahrain\'s strides in this regard as acknowledged in the UNESCO-report which ranked the Kingdom among the Group 1 advanced countries which are about to achieve the educational goals by 2015. Applicants wishing to enroll in the training programme are required to report to the directorate of continuous education in Isa Town or register online on www.bahrain.bh in the period running from September 16 until September30. According to the latest UNESCO Report \"Education for All\", the rate of illiteracy does not exceed %2.46. The Paris-based UNESCO also commended the Kingdom of Bahrain for being on the verge of meting its \"Education for All\" commitment. The Kingdom of Bahrain has also succeeded in achieving a rate of schooling of %100 in the primary education, in addition to promoting equality opportunities, rooting out illiteracy and upgrading educational credentials.
