What Hayley Mills made famous in the ‘Parent Trap’ by playing herself and her identical twin is being replicated at X2…where multiples come together, an event scheduled to take place at Safa Park on March 23 and 24. A celebration of special moms and twins and triplets and more, this fun-filled day is the first ever in the region and the organisers are inviting teen and adult twins, triplets and multiples from across the UAE to get in touch with them as soon as possible via their website (www.x2-me.com) so that they can be part of an exciting initiative taking place on March 2 as part of the teaser campaign. The idea is to get about 20 to 25 twins and triplets together for a spontaneous outburst of dance and music as a run up to the main event. According to Suman Manning, a mother of triplets and one of the co-organisers of X2, the idea is to simply have a happy family affair and share in the uniqueness of being Mums and Dads to multiple kids. Suman also runs Multiples UAE, a well-established support group assisting moms of twins, triplets or more since 2003. It now has a daily growing database of more than 300 families. Her partner, Nathalie Attar, the mother of twins, runs Babies.ae, a website dedicated to making parenthood simpler. The liveliest area of the show, the Entertainment & Contest stage, with its constant stream of music and entertainment throughout the weekend, will entertain the throng. It will also be a platform for amusing contests ranging from ‘The biggest belly’ and the ‘Most identical twins’, to fashion shows, singing contests and more.
