President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received today Lebanese Minister of Culture Dr. Ghatas Khouri and discussed with him cultural cooperation. She also briefed him on the cultural activities planned by Bahrain for 2018 and presented him with an invitation to attend the opening of "Muharraq Capital of Islamic Culture" functions in January 2018.
Both sides also discussed the importance of heritage in reflecting the identity of nations, pointing out the achievements of the Regional Arab Centre for World Heritage and the importance of the meeting of the World Heritage Committee next June under the presidency of Bahrain.
The Lebanese Culture Minister praised BACA's efforts to boost the kingdom's international cultural status, expressing appreciation of bilateral cooperation in the cultural field
