Samsung Group\'s net income jumps 48.5 pct

Samsung Electronics Co., South Korea\'s largest-cap company, said Thursday that the total earnings of the tech giant and its affiliates jumped 48.5 percent in 2010 from one year earlier. The consolidated net profit of 245 Samsung-affiliated companies at home and abroad reached 23.45 trillion won (US$21.86 billion) in 2010, compared with 15.78 trillion won in the previous year, Samsung Electronics said in a regulatory filing.
