Android and iOS tablets get most of the attention these days, but there\'s still a market for Windows-based devices. The Samsung Series 7 Slate PC is certainly worth a look for business users. The Series 7 Slate features an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 HD LED backlit display with Samsung SuperBright Plus Technology. It has more power to take care of your productivity needs, and the touch-friendly interface and capacitive screen allow using Windows 7 less of a pain. It weighs 860 grams and boots up in 15 seconds. It comes loaded with a 1.6GHz Core i5-2467M processor, 4GB of RAM, a 64GB Samsung-made solid state drive, integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics and Windows 7 Home Premium. Samsung is smart to put the heat vents toward the top of the back side, even though the vent is quick to spew out warm air. The Series 7 has a button on the lower bezel that would appear to be a Start button, though, the button acts as a short cut for Touch Launcher while a menu bar containing a series of commands (including Cut, Delete, Magnifier, Paste, and Undo) for not having to rely on keyboard. The slate offers an intuitive user-interface and a wide variety of input methods, including a digitiser pen, touch screen interface and optional Bluetooth wireless keyboard. It also offers an on-screen keyboard for typing. The active Wacom stylus made for a smooth, mostly error-free experience. The pen was comfortable, and the buttons on its side and top made it easy to right-click and select items on screen. The pen was able to translate scribbles into the correct word or phrase. However, there\'s no room to store it. In addition to ToDo, the nearly two dozen pre-installed apps include: Photos, Videos, Music, Bing Map, Notes, Yahoo Finance, Social Dashboard, Recipe, Clock, Weather, Internet Explorer, Windows Journal, Twitter, RSS Reader, Calendar, Camera, YouTube and Amazon\'s Kindle reader. The docking station transforms the slate into a full desktop PC. The media dock offers a full-size HDMI port, a second USB 2.0 port, headphone jack and a Gigabit Ethernet port. From gulfnews
