Scientists find mechanism of UV light-induced skin aging

South Korean scientists said Thursday that they have discovered the mechanism of skin aging stemming from long exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. A Seoul National University research team led by dermatology professor Chung Jin-ho said tests conducted on human volunteers showed UV light adversely hinders fat being absorbed by human subcutaneous tissue and that this process hastens the aging of skin.
