
Dr Mohammed Al Jaber, the UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan, attended a media briefing by Akylbek Kamaldinov, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, about the preparations for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit on Science and Technology, to be hosted in the capital city of Astana on 10th and 11th September.
Initiated by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Astana will host the summit with the aim of mobilising the efforts of OIC member states to enhance mutual co-operation in science and technology for the development of the Islamic nation, the Kazakh Minister said.
On the sidelines of the media gathering, Al Jaber also met with Kamaldinov to discuss ways to bolster bilateral ties.
