CBB Sukuk Al-Ijara Issue (73) Oversubscribed

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 242.5%. Subscriptions worth BD48.5 million were received for the BD20 million issue amount, which carries a maturity of 182 days. The expected return on the issue, which begins on 22 September 2011 and matures on 22 March 2012, is 0.82%.The Sukuk Al-Ijara is issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
