CBB treasury bills oversubscribed by 114%

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that this week\'s BD 35 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 114%. The bills, carrying a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is 22nd August 2012 and the maturity date is 21st November 2012. The weighted average rate of interest is 1.26% compared with 1.25%, for the previous issue on 15th August 2012. The approximate average price for the issue was 99.681% with the lowest accepted price being 99.672%. This is issue No. 1405 (ISIN BH00094VB177) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD 930 million.
