Abu Dhabi - Arabstoday

Commercial Bank International (CBI) took an active part in the Ras Al Khaimah Career Fair. The bank showcased its career opportunities and summer training programme at the annual career fair which concluded on Thursday. The CBI used this important platform to meet and interview UAE graduates and holders of associate degrees. The CBI also opened up the 2012 Summer Jobs for the UAE university and high school students to work in a banking environment for two months. Mohamed Sultan Al Qadi, chairman of CBI, commented:  “We are a UAE based bank, from Ras Al Khaimah with more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector. We are committed to the development of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in all its aspects and industries, and mostly in its human capital. Ras Al Khaimah, under the wise leadership of His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has posted an average annual GDP growth of 17 per cent in 2010. To maintain this growth, we need to develop and invest in our national work force.” Zainab Noureldini, head of human resources in CBI said: “The objective of our participation in Ras Al Khaimah Career Fair is to attract talented UAE nationals looking for a challenging and stimulating career in banking. Due to our growth plans this year, we are looking to fill various positions across different segments of the bank such as retail banking, corporate banking, risk management, call centre, operations and IT”. “We want to help students to discover more about banking as a career, and of course, about CBI. We put a lot of effort in attracting and retaining the best and promising UAE citizens as part of our Emiratisation plans. We offer a rewarding career.” concluded Zainab. In addition to offering specialised career development and training programmes that will cover all aspects of regional and international banking, CBI also offered customised training programmes designed to guide young nationals in identifying their professional acumen and areas of specialisation in the banking industry. CBI human resources team along with cross functional department managers were available at the fair to answer questions on new careers, training, personal development and growth prospects available at CBI.
