Egypt to receive 30,000bpd from Libya

Egypt’s cabinet has approved a significant contract with Libya to purchase 30,000 barrels per day of crude oil for the remainder of 2013, local media have reported. The deal comes after months of talks were finally sealed in March. The Egyptian government has repeatedly expressed its willingness to develop the country’s energy and petroleum sectors. Libya’s Prime Minister Ali Zeidan visited Egypt last week to discuss relations between the two countries.
