Export of gas-condensates from Assalouyeh up 53%

Some 7.186 million tons of gas-condensates worth $4.530 billion were exported from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone, Assalouyeh, southern Iran, in the first six month of current Iranian year (started March 21). The managing-director of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone customs office underlined that the figure indicates 35 and 53 percent increases in terms of weight and value respectively compared to the same period the previous year. Ahmad Pourheidar added that some 181.184 tons of commodities worth $1.457 billion were imported to Iran via Pars Special Economic Energy Zone during the afore-mentioned period. He said the figure shows a 80 percent increase in term of value compared to the pervious year. Pourheidar said Iran exported 5.550 million tons of non-oil commodities valued at $5.174 billion during the first six months of this year, adding the figure shows 64 and 134 percent increases in terms of weight and value respectively. Assalouyeh is a town in Bushehr Province, southern Iran. Located on the shore of the Persian Gulf some 270km southwest of the provincial capital of Bushehr, it is best known as the venues of the facilities belonging to the huge Pars Special Economic Energy Zone project.
