
Russia’s gas giant Gazprom increased gas supplies to Europe by 15.5% in the first nine months of 2013 to 118.45 billion cubic metres, the company said in its report this week. The company’s gas export to Western Europe grew 19.4% to 93.31 billion cubic metres. Germany, Turkey and Italy remain the biggest buyers of Russian natural gas. In January-September, Russia’s gas export to Central Europe went up by 3.4% to 25.14 billion cubic metres. Among the key gas importers in Central Europe, were mentioned such countries as Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary are the key gas imported in Central Europe.
