Iran is looking for strategic buyers of its crude oil in the world, director for strategic planning of the Oil Ministry said.
“We have to choose the best clients for oil or gas and we have to look for strategic clients and partners,” Saeed Qovapour said, the ministry's website reported.
He went on to say that the Ministry is developing a strategic plan for oil and gas sales in the future.
Qovapour said that Iran has to regain its markets lost due to international sanctions slapped on the country for its nuclear program.
“Today, there is tight competition between countries possessing oil and gas for wining bigger shares of the market. Therefore, strategic planning is needed,” he said.
