
More than $7bln of oil and non-oil goods from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) have been exported to foreign destinations in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21- Auguat 20), the PSEEZ chief customs officer said.
Khodadad Rahimi said the exported items included petrochemicals and gas condensate.
He added that the five-month exports were up 59 percent in terms of value and 26 percent in terms of weight, compared with the same period last year.
Iran produced 40 million tons of petrochemicals in the last calendar year, with $9bln worth of its products being exported.
The country plans to increase its petrochemical exports to $12bln this year.
