
The National hydrocarbon company Sonatrach and its partners Anadarko, Eni and Maerks reached the threshold of one billion barrels of oil produced as part of the Berkine consortium, said the company.
The Berkine consortium, an operator established as part of the Association agreement of 1989, exceeded the threshold of one billion barrels of oil produced, from “HBNS and Satellites” oilfields, said Sonatrach in a communiqué.
These deposits are located in the block 404 and El Merk (block 208) which entered into production in 1998 and 2013.
The company added that more than two hundred went to hydrocarbon producers of “TAGI” reservoirs, carboniferous and Strunian as well as gas and water injectors have contributed to this production which borders 275,000 barrels per day.
