Refinery in China to facilitate marketing Kuwaiti oil

The Chinese-Kuwaiti oil refinery project in this Asian nation will secure rapid refining and marketing of the national crude oil, said Kuwait\'s Consul General to Guangzhou Abdulwahab Al-Saqer.Al-Sager made the statement to KUNA on sidelines of a meeting he held with the Director of Zhanjiang Foreign Affairs Bureau Ms. Peng Khoi, who handed him an invitation to attend planned ceremony for laying corner stone of the Chinese-Kuwaiti oil and petrochemical complex venture in the city.The Kuwaiti diplomat praised efforts of the administration of the city of Zhanjiang, the Chinese Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, that had been exerted for six years, resulting in the largest joint energy investment project in Asia.The refinery will secure speedy marketing of the refined Kuwaiti crude in the Asian markets, he said.It will have a refining capacity of 15 million tons per year.
