Iranian filmmaker Farhad Alizadeh-Ahi’s psychological thriller has been screened at the 2012 edition of DC Independent Film Festival (DCIFF). The Iranian-Canadian production The Bright Side of the Moon was screened at the American festival on March 2. Produced by Yadollah Shahbazi of Make A Movie Production Company, the film recounts the story of an Iranian couple who immigrates and wins a large sum of money in a lottery. A visually tense psychological thriller, Ahi's movie will also take part in the 36th Toronto International Film Festival set to be held in September 2012. The Bright Side of the Moon is in English and has a cast of Iranian and Canadian actors. The DC Independent Film Festival DCIFF, which kicked off on February 29 will run until March 4.
