AL, UNESCO discuss protecting Iraqi archaeological sites

Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby discussed on Sunday with UNESCO's Director-General Irina Bokova ways of boosting cooperation to protect the Iraqi archaeological sites against destruction, the AL said in statement.
This came in a message sent by Bokova to el Araby, the statement added.
In a related context, the AL chief continued his contacts with the concerned international bodies to safeguard the Iraqi monuments against demolition, according to the statement.
